Glenlivet 15YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

The 15 Year Old's distinctive character is the result of selective maturation; a proportion of the spirit is matured in a selection of French oak casks for a limited period, so as not to overpower the final result. The French oak increases the intensity of the whisy, resulting in a richer and creamier finish.

Glenlivet 18YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

The Glenlivet 18 Year Old is the perfect expression of age and elegance - balancing the archetypal ripe fruit notes of The Glenlivet with a drier evocative oak influence. The perfect after-dinner dram. Tasting Notes: COLOUR Old gold, with ripe apricot hues. NOSE Fragrant, elegant, complex with a sweet oakiness reminiscent of an antique shop. Oak leads the way to heady floral fragrances of Freesia and Peony. Toffee notes emerge in time along with butterscotch, mint chocolate and summer fruit pie. PALATE Smooth and velvety, with a firm foundation. Sweetness is immediately followed by a tantalising burst of spices and bitter oranges drying out on oaky notes. FINISH Lasting, oaky and gingery. Signatory Vintage 1996 Glenlivet 20Y0 Sherry Cask

20-year-old independent bottling from Speyside's Glenlivet, matured in a first-fill sherry cask. Bottled as part of Signatory Vintage's Un-Chillfiltered Collection (and therefore at natural colour also), this was distilled 13 May 1996. This single cask expression then matured in first-fill sherry butt #79233 for (just) over 20 years before it was bottled 20 May 2016. Note the colour on this expression isn't as dark as you'd expect from a first-fill sherry cask after two decades, but without the addition of colouring that's sometimes the case. One of the world's top two selling single malts thanks to their prolific official bottlings, independent expressions from Speyside's Glenlivet are fleeting but often exceptional. With the shackles thrown off, their spirit shows fantastic depth and complexity - particularly in sherry casks.
