VINEYARD Harvested out of the lower Awatere Valley in Marlborough. VINIFICATION 50% whole bunch pressed to preserve aromatics, it was then fermented cool in stainless steel and allowed to sit on lees for an extended period to develop body and texture. APPEARANCE Pale straw in colour. BOUQUET A vibrant bouquet displaying classic passion fruit and gooseberries with a hint of flintiness. PALATE A broad and luscious palate exhibiting citrus tones with a backbone of crisp acidity. CELLARING It is ready to drink now and is best served slightly chilled. SERVING TEMPERATURE 14-16°C FOOD ACCOMPANIMENTS A platter of icey cold raw oysters. Fresh crayfish cooked on the BBQ served with buttered crusty bread and a crisp green salad.
The Generations Sauvignon Blanc is a combination of old world and new world winemaking. The old world brings mellow yeast autolysis and highlights minerality, and the new world brings all the punchy tropical fruit with racy acidity. Vibrant and classically Marlborough aromas, passionfruit, guava, lime and kaffir with hints of tropical mango. A perfectly balanced almost juicy palate that carries through all of the vibrant tropical perfume, with great depth of flavour and rounded texture. A complex yet very enjoyable style that is brimming with flavour and multifaceted aromas. Easy to drink on its own but also suited to food because of the harmonious balance of the palate.
On the nose it’s alive with Lemon grass, lime peel and elderflower, with background notes of white currant and red pepper. The palate is already generous with currant, gooseberry and citrus flavours, and a dry mineral finish.

Grilled white fish and a fresh green salad
Hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed, the fruit was a selection of the very best available from the vintage. Barrel fermented in French oak using only indigenous yeasts and subsequent barrel age on full yeast lees for nine months, has created a superbly aromatic, complex and textural wine that is ideally suited to enjoy with food.
Wines prior to 2011 were produced under the Church Road Reserve label.
Predominantly made from Sauvignon Blanc grown in the Matapiro Vineyard and tank fermented to retain the pure aromatics of this appellation, while a small portion of the blend comes from our warmer Redstone and Omarunui vineyards. These sites contribute a richer, softer mouthfeel to the wine and give it a drinkability that is the key to the Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc style.

Barrel fermented and lees stirred to give complex flavours, with time the sauvignon characters disappear and the wine becomes lusciously oily and viscous. Match with subtly flavoured fish dishes.
