Elephant Hill Chardonnay 750ml

Just breathe in the aromas of a beautiful balance of toasty oak, stonefruit and citrus and you know it was worth the wait. Concentrated, pure fruit flavours, restrained oak and a lingering finish make for an elegant wine which will keep on developing for months to come – if you can keep it that is! It’s however already excellent drinking right now. Our 2010 Chardonnay typifies the style of Chardonnay we aim to produce from our coastal vineyard. Handpicked fruit of outstanding quality and optimal flavor ripeness was whole-bunch pressed to 228L Burgundian oak, 40% new. No cultured yeast was added; rather an uninoculated fermentation using the yeast strains indigenous to our vineyard was allowed. Following the alcoholic fermentation the wine remained in barrel, on lees, for 11 months. The wine did not undergo malolactic fermentation. The 2010 Chardonnay is intense and concentrated. Aromas of pink grapefruit, citrus blossom and nectarine complement the sharply focused palate of spicy Meyer lemon, green apple and hazelnut.

Brokers Premium London Dry Gin 1000ml

Brokers London Dry Gin 1ltr Broker’s is a brand with personality and playfulness. Creators Martin and Andy Dawson chose the image of a bowler-hatted gentlemen - an archetypal stockbroker - to reflect the fact that historically England is the home of gin. Broker’s is a seriously good gin with a quirky marketing approach. Broker’s Gin is made in a 200-year-old distillery in the heart of England using a traditional copper pot-still. The recipe is as old as the distillery. A quadruple-distilled pure grain spirit made from English wheat is redistilled with ten traditional botanicals, creating a gin of outstanding flavour and smoothness. Broker’s Gin does not follow the modern trend of using weird and wonderful spirits and botanicals. There are no oddball ingredients in Broker’s Gin. We believe our forefathers did an unbeatable job perfecting gin recipes over many hundreds of years. Broker’s Gin has won more top awards in international competitions over the last ten years than any other gin. Broker’s truly is … THE WORLD’S BEST GIN.

Wynns Cabernet Shiraz Merlot 750ml

Wynns Coonawarra Estate was the first winery to be established in the Coonawarra, by John Riddoch in 1896. The winery is located on the world famous strip of 'Terra Rossa' soil that produces fruit of an exceptional quality. This year's Wynns Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Shiraz Merlot is a fine example of the style. Wynns Cabernet Shiraz Merlot is a rich and complex wine with enhanced softness derived from the blending of these three classic red grape varieties. Its soft fruit plus judicious oak handling is well balanced and has created a wine perfect for current drinking or short-term cellaring, reflecting its regionality. The first Wynns red blend (a Cabernet Sauvignon - Shiraz or "Hermitage as Shiraz was referred to then) was produced in 1969 making this "Red Stripe" red blend the 39th vintage.

Mission Reserve Chardonnay 750ml

Tasting Notes Colour is pale straw. The aromas are complex and sweet showing almond and stone fruit notes with hints of toast and citrus peel. The palate is very full with a fine structure with intense sweet fruit and a long clean finish. The texture is more mineral in style than the gold medal winning 2009 wine. The acidity is a little higher reflecting the cooler summer. The flavours are tending more to the stone fruit than the Citrus spectrum. Like the 2009 wine it has a fine finish and great persistence.

The Doctors Riesling 750ml

2013 The Doctors' Riesling With cult status in the New Zealand wine scene, The Doctors’ Riesling continues to amaze wine critics and delight novices alike. Grown on our stony Condors Bend vineyard at Renwick, the fruit ripens slowly in Marlborough’s cool dry autumn climate, gaining flavour intensity yet retaining all important acidity. Harvested early at low sugars, the grapes were gently pressed, cold settled and given a cool slow fermentation which was arrested around 8.5% alcohol and 29 g/l residual sugar. The final decision on when to stop the wine fermentation is very much decided on acid/sugar balance. Tasting Notes Wow! It’s like biting into a deliciously crisp Granny Smith apple, licking lime sherbet and eating your first of the season Central Otago apricot, all at one time! The 2013 Doctors’ Riesling is simply stunning, oh so easy to drink and with the perfect balance of fruit sweetness and fresh acitidy at a modest 8.5% alcohol who feels guilty having a second glass? It’s firmly established as one of New Zealand’s favorite Rieslings; outselling any of our other, very fine, Rieslings ten to one. So chill a bottle and see for yourself what thousands of Kiwis are enjoying!
